MrMl23 I love all of the songs on this album, but Refuge is my favorite! It's just beautiful. Favorite track: Refuge.

Sterling Hoffman I heard about the album from a random Reddit post on black metal from Montana and decided to give it a look. Oh my goodness, I was not expecting to randomly stumble upon one of my now all time favorite records. Re-listens only add to the beauty of this record. All the instruments are masterfully done and vocals are both beautiful and brutal. The softer cuts of the record really add to the brutality as the dichotomy made shows off the raw emotion of the work as a whole.

Well done, this is not an album I’ll ever forget. Favorite track: Morning.

Morning 07:23
All is cold and dying in the morning light. All raptures diminish with the sight of the frozen sun. Alone in lightness. In mourning I

Burning in my eyes The cold of longing. Often pondered, Endless are the colors Of the buried thoughts of my desires. Wasted, useless From my lamentations. Feeble wonders Falling deeper down Lie False is the wind beneath your sigh. Daylight reigns clear upon the frailty of the mind. Passion and wisdom cannot save me from my fate. Masked in snow Winter is nigh. Once a heart now is ice.

There is another time Here within Where ghosts of my past selves Guise my very core Hanging on Feigning wind Swept my bones aside From the ground, All is tranquil light From the sky Are the dying hands of the passing realm Every night I lie awake To find In this dark... A sense of hope fading

Refuge 09:46
Young one of the fate With emerald death on your side Your will to succeed Counts its last until dawn. Snow fills the veins Trees become pillars with arms Poised into greyest light Crystalline breath, then it's done. Can't change the face of winter Life takes a night's refrain. Silence was all the warning Transfigured with the sun Couldn't save all myself In the pines I was left. Could I face another day In the shadow of your face?

Ascension 12:00
In this, a beauty and complicity What has dawned is a new day. Torn with a broken image of the realm Forcing onward with your hand in mine Rooted in soil Rising upwards still Branching out life Firmly in the ground Ever becoming Upon the mountain Internal light Rise to the surface Above the clouds This dream and purpose Carry fast
